#2 – McKenzie River Trail (Central Oregon)

Do you like ancient lava flows? what about crystal clear water and hot springs? so many natural wonders.

This is a easy trail so you can walk or bike without a problem. One of its advantages is that it is not a very known place so you can enjoy it without the crods. Just west of Clear Lake is Sahalie Falls, this waterfall has a viewing platform and those who are up for hiking can venture down the trail to Koosah Falls. The round-trip hike is about 1 mile from the parking area.

#3 – Cape Perpetua (Yachats, Central Coast)

The coast is full of great hikes, and each one with its unique flavor, but I tend to favor the Cape Perpetua Scenic Area. You can explore tide pools, watch for whales, feel humbled by the power of a winter storm. Take a jacket and some warm boots!

#4 – Odell Lake Overlook (Central Cascades)

Most people love the trail near Gold Lake Sno-Park, but there are family friendly alternatives such as the Odell Lake Overlook. We will be given breathtaking views without losing your breath! You can hike to the overlook and return the way you came or extend the hike to the PCT for an epic loop. The warming shelters are are the best place warm up by the fire. The lake fills a basin carved by a glacier, and the resulting terminal moraine confines the water along the lake’s southeast shore.
